Server: Waterson / Faction: New Conglomerate
Join us in Planetside 2. Its free to play! Combat on a scale the likes of which I have never seen in an online game.
Fighters, bombers, tanks, troop carriers, its all there. It is however not overly intuitive and takes some time to learn in order to fully enjoy it. Those of you that played Halo and BFV with us would like this game if you gave it an honest shot, I promise you. Its best played with friends. Matt, Travis and I are on almost every night. We'll give you the low down and help you figure out how to find combat, and what initial upgrades to get to make the game more enjoyable.
We play on the Waterson server, New Conglomerate. You can touch base with Travis (Tmuck), Matt (IAKapla) or myself (B1ackops) for an invite to the outfit. We have been using Dolby Axon for voice chat, you can find me as user name ia_blackops, Nickname Blackops, or do a search for imperialarmy.net and you should find me.

Tapatalk Installed!
This has been a long time coming. I finally found the installation instructions and it didn't look too hard so I gave it a shot, and what do you know?! It was easy.
For those of you that don't know, Tapatalk is a mobile forum viewing app available for iPhone and Android devices. It is unfortunately a paid app, but it is in my experience, hands down the best one available. Certainly WAY better than surfing the forums in the mobile browser.

Just wanted to give a heads up to anyone that didn't already know. I broke the guild in game.
As you may well know, the guild import system detects your first character, then auto invites you to the guild. I logged in, was auto invited and promoted to GM. About 3 levels into the game, I decided that I didn't like the way my character looked and that I better redo it now, cause later would be too late to start over. So I logged out, deleted and remade my character. Which means I deleted the GM to the guild, and I already used my 1 invite.
I opened a ticket yesterday that took 9 hours to respond to, and despite being very clear in asking them to re-instate my character as GM of the guild, I get an automatically generated response telling me how to pass leadership to another person in the guild.
I have another ticket open, which has been open for 12 hours now, and still no response to that one. Everyone just stay put in the guild, I'll get it fixed eventually.
*** TEMPORARY FIX ***
For the time being, I've started another guild. . Everyone has invite rights at the moment, so if you are in the old guild, or did not get pre-registered in time for the automatic important, then find someone who IFA and get them to invite you. We left an alt in IA proper, which should get promoted to GM after 2 weeks time, then we'll move everyone back into IA. Sorry guys, apparently fixing this, is beyond EA's capabilities.

Sorry for the downtime folks. I finally took over the entirety of the site and took it off Josh's hands. My huge thanks and enormous amounts of gratitude to him for handling that for so long.
Somehow shortly after taking over, all the files were pointing to the wrong database, and since I'm not really familiar with it all just yet, it took me a while to track it down.
I removed the shoutbox in attempt to fix the portal. Turns out it wasn't the issue, but I'm not a huge fan, as its extremely temporary and it stops people from making new threads, so it might not make a comeback, we'll see.
I removed most of the modules on the portal as a troubleshooting measure before I figured out what was wrong. Since most of them however are WoW oriented, I'll leave them gone and try to add back some newer stuff maybe for TOR as we head that direction.
I still have to update the vBulletin files to include the license key I bought, so there is a possibility that this could all come down again for a short time, but keep checking, I'll get it back up eventually. Hopefully I can pull it off without breaking the site.  |
