Yeah that was an intense fight, really pushes dps to the limit as well as heals.

While I'm not a healer, I love the idea of something different for healers. I remember before I became a tank, I could never lead any runs really, because I never paid attention to what was going on. As a healer you can usually just zone out and heal, running away from the things that EVERYONE has to avoid, etc. Tanks need to do funky things sometimes, like kiting, taunt rotations, etc. DPS often need to switch targets to burn something down, etc. Healers rarely have to do something "exciting", and the game mechanics don't allow for that many fights to challenge healers in a new way, but I think this fight hit the nail on the head.

BTW - Looks like no other Alliance guilds downed Anub last night, and only 3 horde guilds, so that puts us solidly in Alliance first and Realm 3rd. Not too shabby. Lets see if we can maintain and not get passed up shall we?

Wait, if three horde guilds got it, wouldn't that make us realm 4th? Or how do we know we got it after them? (Though at midnight server, we probably did)

Pretty sure that was on 10 man Justify.

We are above one horde guild cause we killed one of the other 4 bosses before they did, and we are behind the other two because we didn't get Northrend Beasts the first night due to instance issues.

Yeah, it was 10-man. They said hard-modes in 10-man are pretty pathetic. Faction Champions is virtually no different and the others didn't take that long either. The only one they couldn't do was Anub'arak, because there is a very limited amount of frost orbs, so keeping the adds above ground is tough.

I'm interested to try this weekend...

I asked in raid last night if any other alliance guilds downed this boss and someone said 5 others had already done it, not sure who said it.

Either way its a tough fight to pull off and im sure alot of other guilds that havent been geared through ulduar will not be able to pull it off for quite some time.

you guys do know that DS doesnt raid tuesdays rite? if they had raided last night, likely would have gotten anub well before us

Right, we said they raided 10-man.

Regardless of the circumstances, it's just nice to have an Alliance first under our belt on an achievement that isn't just [I Have the Coolest Friends].
